What is a Director Identification Number (DIN)?

DIN or Director Identification Number is a unique number that is allotted to an existing or a potential director or soon to be directors by the Central Government. It contains all the personal information of the director.

All the details of the director are maintained in a database through this 8 digit number. This number has lifetime validity.
